Star Wars™: Knights of the Old Republic II™-The Sith Lords™ is coming to iOS and Android. It's this game, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords, that is coming to mobile.ĭecember 18th marks the long-awaited return of the Jedi Exile. Well received for its story, characters, gameplay and sound, a sequel was ordered from Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds) and launched in December 2004. Way back in 2003, BioWare put out the first game in what would become the Knights of the Old Republic series.

One of the top Star Wars video game franchises is getting a mobile port. Pre-registration on the Google Play Store should be opening soon. It is only compatible with the iPhone and iPad, the listing notes.

A pre-order page for the iOS version lists the game at 3.9GB in size with a $14.99 price tag. This echo seems more akin to a dying whimper than the steady, unyielding presence the game could very well be in the future. In brief: Aspyr in a post on Twitter earlier today said the mobile port is scheduled to arrive on Android and iOS on December 18. However, as for how the base game now stands on the Switch? I’d be hard-pressed to recommend someone purchase it until that free story DLC is released. It is a testament to all of The Sith Lords‘ strengths that I’m glad for those patches and am looking forward to seeing how the Restored Content DLC might improve upon the overall game experience. Despite these setbacks, the KOTOR duology is still one of my favorite Star Wars stories. It’s a shame that the initial base game is a rushed, poorly edited product as well since it has all the makings of a classic and problems knock it down to just a “good” game. However, I still can’t overlook the very noticeable glitches present in the Switch port. Overall, it pains me to give KOTOR II the score I have, as the core gameplay mechanics are genuinely enjoyable and well-rounded, not to mention that I found the plot and characters to be quite strong whenever the game hit its strides.
